Magic Minders Committee would like to thank everyone who so generously supported our Christmas raffle, whether this was by donating prizes, buying tickets or both.
We raised over £300 and this money all goes towards subsiding member events and cost of the hall hire for our drop-in, so we are very grateful.

Worthing BID Town Centre Christmas Trail
Magic Minders are delighted to be sponsoring one of the trail Christmas Trees this year. The children have been busy decorating stars, snowflakes and more to help our tree sparkle and shine. Please do visit the tree to see all the children's hard work (& add more decorations). It is outside Spratt & Sons (70A Brighton Rd, Worthing BN11 2EN), just past Splash Point Leisure Centre. Well worth the walk! |
The draw will take place at our Children's Christmas Party on Tuesday 17th December.
Lots of fantastic prizes, including hampers, ice rink tickets, hair & beauty vouchers, meal vouchers, painting voucher, gin and mixers and more! |
Christmas Raffle
Raffle tickets are available for collection from the Magic Minders Drop-in or from Nicky Gare Mogg. Contact us via the Magic Minders Facebook group or by emailing [email protected] if you would like tickets but are unable to collect. Our Christmas Raffle raises vital funds for the group, enabling us to run member events throughout the year, including our popular drop-in. |
It was a summer full of events for Magic Minders. We held our popular, annual Field Place trains day, funded by Magic Minders for it's members, and took part in a successful beach clean.
Magic Minders members manned a stall at the Broadwater Festival with a teddy tombola and hook a duck.
We were sponsors of the annual PlayDay on Broadwater Green, run by our member, Karen Rea, offering nappy changing facilities and a baby chill area.

We were delighted to welcome RepTylers to our drop-in. Children and their childminders were able to experience a variety of reptiles up close!
Have you seen our seafront flowerbed?
Magic Minders were delighted to once again take part in the seafront planting scheme and our plot this year has a fairy garden theme. Please pop along to take a peak, water and tidy if needed, add a pebble and make a wish.

Intergenerational interactions
Magic Minders have been continuing with their highly successful visits to Haviland House and Caer Gwent residential homes, run by Guild Care.
As well as bringing joy to both the residents and children, these visits carry a wealth of benefits to all involved, not least friendship and fun.

Magic Minders have been pleased to welcome some exciting guests recently.
On 5th March PC Bucksey and his colleagues braved the rain to join us. The children enjoyed hearing about the work the police do to help people and had fun checking out the vehicles and uniform.
On 19th March we were visited by the Easter Bunny who lead the children in an Easter Egg hunt and distributed chocolate lollies.
More wonderful guests are planned for next term, including an oral health specialist, pilot and Reptylers

Exciting new collaboration with Guild Care:
Caer Gwent Visit
Following the successful Magic Minder visits to Guild Care's Haviland House, which have proved very popular with residents, we are now also making regular visits to another of the Guild Care homes, Caer Gwent. These have been well received and Magic Minders were delighted to receive this glowing review from them.
''We had a spooktacular time at Caer Gwent as Halloween took over! Our residents enjoyed a range of activities, including a Halloween Raffle, Halloween Themed Bingo, and of course, loads of delicious treats with no tricks involved. But the highlight of the day was a heart-warming visit from our friends Tracey, Sarah, Gem, and the children. Residents cherished every moment with the little ones, filled with singing, dancing, and enchanting story time.''

A huge thank you to all those who helped to organise our fabulous Coronation Party celebration and to everyone who attended. The children had a wonderful time decorating and making crowns, playing in the soft play and on the bouncy castle, and eating their Coronation picnics.
Every child attending was presented with a souvenir medal to commemorate the occasion. Congratulations to our raffle prize winners: Magic Minders hope you enjoy spending your Independent Worthing vouchers, your day at David Lloyd and your cream tea.
