Vacancy Form...
USING THE VACANCY SERVICE
If you are looking for a childminder/nanny, in the Worthing area, please complete the Vacancy Form opposite, giving as much detail as possible. After submitting the form, your enquiry will go directly to the Vacancy Co-ordinator. They will put your enquiry out to our members and then supply you with a list of those Childminders/nannies who have a vacancy that may suit your needs.
If you have not heard within 5 working days please email the vacancy coordinator for an update. All emails are always replied to so please also check your spam folder. Please note, childminders are professional Early Years educators and childcarers. Whilst they may include transport, such as school collections, as part of their childcare service, they are not able to provide taxi services, where the child is collected and taken directly to their own home. Taxi services are licensed and require specific insurance. Nannies, however, work from the child's own home and so may provide this service. DISCLAIMER Magic Minders (Worthing Childminding Association) is a voluntary support group for Worthing/Arun and District registered childminders and nannies. Magic Minders offer a free vacancy service to help parents find appropriate childcare and our members to fill their vacancies. Magic Minders (Worthing Childminding Association) accepts no liability regarding the vacancy services it offers. The vacancy service is totally impartial and Magic Minders is not able to recommend individual childminders. Magic Minders is not a childminder, nanny or childcare agency: it does not set or negotiate members' fees and cannot guarantee to find a childminder for a parent or fill a member's spaces. Although Magic Minders do provide checks on its members, parents should always ask to see the childminder's/nanny's Ofsted/agency registration certificate and DBS or equivalent. Please note, however, that childminders registering prior to 2002 will not have a DBS or CRB as checks were conducted by the police and social services who did not provide copies. Also check their Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Public Liability Insurance when considering contracting their services. These are legal requirements. There should always be a written contract in place, that should be agreed between both parties before signing. Parents are strongly advised to check any references the childminder/nanny provides and ask to see a copy of the childminder's most recent Ofsted/agency report (also available at www.ofsted.gov.uk).
